The Kawaii Directory started August 29, 2006 on a rainy day because I was looking for something to keep me busy. This directory is dedicated to all the many cute websites out there.

Kawaii is An adjective in Japanese meaning " pretty; cute; lovely; charming; dear; darling; pet" It's stem is two kanji meaning "can love". It is commonly used by anime and manga fans.

A web directory is an organized, categorized listings of Web sites.

Put them together and you have a categorized listing of cute, lovely, and charming websites.

It is ran by amber and would not be possible without the help of all of my visitors who submitted their links. The current theme was created from a loose piece of stationery I scanned in. I think it's San-X but I'm not really sure.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to post any rules but it appears some people don't like to play nice.

Rules:

Anyone caught maliciously rating sites down will have their own link deleted. Play nice. It's pretty obvious when I go to approve votes when the same link is voted up over and over again while the same link is voted down over and over again for a whole week straight. I don't care if you vote for your own sites, just don't rate other sites with a 1 in an attempt to be at the top of the "Top Rated".
